Functional back deck to entertain guests and host parties.
Project Vision:
The owners home had a back porch off of the kitchen in a previous life. It had been torn down and the existing door was blocked up with a new door coming from the dining room.
The project scope was to clear all the debris from the back porch and backyard to create a large functional back deck with seating area and shade posts.
The work started with removing all of the old porch foundations and other debris. The foundations were then dug along with removal of debris from the front and side yards. The new deck structure was then built and temporary supported so the deck posts could be located exactly in the middle of the foundation holes. After the inspection passed, the decking was completed with 2 x 6 PT boards for longevity and stability.
Then the stairs were built down to the backyard with a concrete landing. The guardrails and handrails went up along with the bench and shade posts.
Finally the front, side and back yard were graded with new top soil.
